About LensFinder
LensFinder.org is a database of camera lenses: 1,408 lens models from 43 manufacturers for 11 camera mounts. When a lens is made for several mounts, each version has its own entry, 2,648 in total. You can filter by focal length, aperture, weight, autofocus and other specs, compare lenses side by side, check which lenses fit 351 cameras, and use the simulator to see the field of view a lens gives on your camera.
There are deliberately no reviews here. LensFinder shows technical data, and that data comes from the manufacturers. For 95% of entries, the manufacturer page the values come from is linked on the lens page. How we collect and check the data is explained on How we check.
Who is behind LensFinder
LensFinder has been online since September 2022. I'm Philip Thomas, and I have been taking photos for about 25 years, across many systems: I started with Pentax and Sony Cyber-shot compacts, moved on to Canon EF DSLRs such as the 7D and the 550D, then the EOS M, and later the Panasonic Lumix GH5, G70 and G81 on Micro Four Thirds. Today I mostly shoot with the Fujifilm X100 series and Sony E.
Every new system raised the same question: which lenses exist for this mount, including third-party ones, and how do they differ in size, weight and aperture? I wanted an overview that makes lenses comparable across manufacturers and mounts. That is how LensFinder started.
How LensFinder is funded
LensFinder is funded through affiliate partnerships. Some links and price buttons lead to retailers we work with. If you buy through such a link, we receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. Which lenses are in the database and which data we show does not depend on it. There are no ad banners and no cookies on LensFinder.
