Nikon F-Mount
Two Nikon DX ultra-wide zooms with a 77 mm filter, ultrasonic motor and practically the same weight (460 and 465 g), neither with VR. The AF-S DX 12-24 f/4G ED-IF (February 2003) was, according to Nikon, the first lens built exclusively for digital SLRs, and has a constant f/4. The AF-S DX 10-24 f/3.5-4.5G ED (April 2009) is the newer alternative: it starts at 10 instead of 12 mm and is faster at the wide end at f/3.5, but at 24 mm it is at f/4.5, slightly slower than the 12-24.
The 10-24 focuses down to 0.24 m, the 12-24 to 0.30 m.
