Price and availability

Sirui has introduced the Swift series: the 20mm F2.4 and the 40mm F2.2, two full-frame autofocus primes with an STM motor, offered for Sony E, L-Mount and Fujifilm X. In the official Sirui US store both cost $149 each and are listed for pre-order; for the 20mm E-mount variant the store gives an expected shipping date of November 6[1].

Specifications

The 20mm F2.4 has 11 elements in 9 groups with aspherical, ED and HRI elements, a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 m, a maximum magnification of 0.136x and a diagonal angle of view of 91.5°. The 40mm F2.2 has 11 elements in 8 groups with aspherical and ED elements, a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 m, a maximum magnification of 0.14x and a diagonal angle of view of 55.86°. Both have 9 aperture blades, f/16 as the smallest aperture, a 58 mm filter thread and a maximum diameter of about 69.5 mm. In E mount the 20mm weighs 207 g at 62.3 mm long and the 40mm 210 g at 62.3 mm; in L-Mount they weigh 212 g at 60.3 mm and 215 g at 60 mm[1].

Autofocus and controls

Autofocus uses an STM motor, and according to Sirui the optics are all glass. Both lenses have a clicked aperture ring, an AF/MF switch and an Fn button that can act as AF lock or be assigned freely. Sirui describes them as dust-resistant, smudge-resistant and weather-sealed. The box includes the lens hood and front and rear caps[1].
