The Lumix S 24-105 f/4 (2019, launched with the S1/S1R) is the classic standard zoom with a constant f/4 at 680 g. The Lumix S 28-200 (February 2024) is, according to Panasonic, the first all-in-one zoom of the S series and one of the smallest of its class. It weighs 413 g, 270 g less, and reaches 200 mm. In return the aperture drops to f/7.1 and it starts at 28 instead of 24 mm.
Both focus close, the 28-200 up to 3 cm in front of the lens according to Panasonic.
Which one suits whom?
