Overview

The Mitakon Zhongyi Pittura 30mm f/2.4 is a manual focus wide-angle prime for Fujifilm GFX medium format cameras (Fujifilm G mount). ZY Optics also offers it for Hasselblad XCD. On GFX it works out to a full frame equivalent of roughly 24mm, and the maker positions it as a fast, wide lens in its Pittura line. It was presented at the Beijing P&E show in May 2026 and went on sale in July 2026.

Optical design

The lens has 13 elements in 12 groups. ZY Optics lists an 11-blade aperture that runs from f/2.4 to f/22 and an angle of view of 84.5 degrees.

Focusing and handling

Focusing is manual, with a minimum focus distance of 20 cm. This allows close foreground subjects with a wide perspective. The filter thread is 58 mm.

Build and size

The GFX version measures 81 mm in diameter by 80 mm in length and weighs about 550 g. The XCD version is 73 mm by 84 mm. At 550 g it is clearly lighter than the Mitakon Speedmaster 80mm f/1.6, and a 58 mm thread is small for a medium format wide-angle.

Where it fits

Native GFX options around this focal length are the Fujifilm GF 30mm F3.5 R WR, the Fujifilm GF 23mm F4 R LM WR and the zoom Fujifilm GF 20-35mm F4 R WR. They are slower, and they add autofocus and weather sealing. The Pittura 30mm f/2.4 offers about a stop more light than the GF 30mm. Another manual option in the system is the Venus Laowa 19mm F2.8 Zero-D GFX.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • f/2.4 is brighter than the native GF 30mm F3.5
  • 20 cm minimum focus distance
  • 11 aperture blades
  • About 550 g and 58 mm filter thread

Cons

  • Manual focus only
  • No weather sealing is listed
  • ZY Optics gives only an approximate weight
  • Optical performance is not covered here, so independent tests are worth checking

Verdict

The Pittura 30mm f/2.4 is a compact manual wide-angle for GFX users who want an f/2.4 aperture and close focus without moving to a much larger lens. It makes most sense for photographers who are happy to work by hand and do not need weather sealing.
